Mission Gorge Car Wash

I like this chain of self carwash, clean and well maintained. They have severaI locations across San Diego and I can get it done with $10-15 and leave satisfied every time.

This car wash is open 24 hours. It has 4 self service stalls and 2 drive thru. It’s still cheaper than going to Soapy Joes. Self service: $5 cash will get you 4 minutes to start. Timer goes down, at about 15 seconds, an alarm goes off to remind you it’ll end. You can add another $1. Using credit card will get you 4 minutes for $5 and after that, timer keeps going up a quarter at a time, next thing you know, you’re $15 in if you’re not paying attention. You need to push the stop button. There are 11 dials. Refer to the chart to see what brush to use. It could be the black brush or red hose, etc. Best if you can tag team and have another person help scrub. We purchased the wash glove which works wonders. So much more efficient to wash your own car under $10. We’re able to do it in $6 using the air dryer but next time I’ll skip and wipe down myself to keep it at $5. When you’re done, you can move forward out of the stall to wipe down or pay to vacuum. There’s a vending machine selling car detail items.

The place takes cards, coins, & bills. Minimum charge on the card for a self car wash is $5.00. It goes up until you stop. When you press the STOP button, you get about a 15 second countdown until it actually stops. Same with the vacuum (payment & STOP button), but maybe a lesser countdown. Minimum charge is $2.00. All equipment worked great! Powerful vacuums! I'll be back!

Great place to hand wash your car, especially if you have one that is hand wash only. This was the first time washing my new baby. Since she’s black till I wrap her, it shows everything. This place had pressure washers so you don’t need to use the brush and risk scratches. It had great working blowers to eliminate water spots and reduce streak marks.

It is an ok unmanned car wash. The newer building was added a couple of years ago and very nice, it has 2 spray wash bays and 2 automated drive through car washes. The older section has 4 spray wash bays, this section is pretty dated. For $7 you can choose touchless or brush cleaning in the automatic bays and get a free vacuum token.
